Where my Green Activities are?

Why I Am A NAUI Green Diver

I feel privileged whenever I have the opportunity to be in the ocean. It pains me whenever I see divers interfering with animals, or dragging their fins across a reef, or doing anything that is harmful to the underwater environment. I feel that these habits can be unlearned, just as easily as they were learned. It is too often that I see instructors cutting open sea urchins and picking up starfish, giving students the impression that this is acceptable behavior. As leaders in the dive industry, we need to set the example.

My Bio

I started diving in 1996 while growing up in New York. After a 5-year hiatus, I found a renewed interest in scuba, while serving in the United States Army, in Kuwait. In 2005, I decided to become an instructor. I am a graduate of the Halls International Career Diving Institute.

My dive travels have taken me to the Persian Gulf, St. Lucia, the Dominican Republic, the Florida Keys, and the Pacific Coast, from Washington down to Mexico. For the past few years, I have been focused on southern California, helping run the Underwater Instructor Candidate Courses and Advanced Diver Programs for Los Angeles County Scuba.

I am currently building what I hope will become the number one resource for diving in southern CA. It will be the only website to offer real-time information on diving in southern California. Check it out at

I am an active NAUI Instructor Trainer, a Los Angeles County Instructor and a TDI Technical Instructor. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business / Communications, speak Spanish and Persian Farsi, and enjoy surfing, paddleboarding, web design, and beer.
