Free United Nations Online Course on Marine Litter


Interested in learning more about how to combat marine litter? A free online course developed by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), through the Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-based Activities (GPA), has partnered with the Open University of the Netherlands, in a project “created in order to stimulate leadership and offer opportunities for actionable and change oriented learning related to marine litter.”


The Massive Open Online Course on Marine Litter (MOOC) aims to help students, through action learning, on ways to apply strategies in the real world. The course offers a series of lectures, case studies and videos.
