At some point in your diving career, you or your buddy will either loose or find something underwater and the knowledge and skills you gain in the Search and Recovery Diver course will help you when you do!
What You Will Learn
In your Search and Recovery Diver course you'll learn about underwater navigation using natural and compass techniques; the problems, methods, equipment, hazards, and safety procedures regarding limited visibility diving; proper search methods and techniques; and how to handle light salvage or recovery, including rigging and knot tying.
How Do You Get Started?
NAUI Scuba Diver certification or the equivalent is required for enrollment. Find a NAUI Dive Center or Instructor near you by visiting the Dive Center Locator.
What's Next?
Once you become a search and recovery diver, perhaps you want to further your training with an Advanced Scuba Diver or Rescue Scuba Diver course? Perhaps you want to become a dive professional and go all the way to Divemaster or even become an Instructor! You can take the Training Assistant specialty course to see if becoming a dive professional is right for you.
